SCHOOLS....OUT....FOR SUMA

Today was classic (I didn't wake up on time and was late to work). Luckily, I don't think anyone noticed and it was the last day of school anyway. Sometimes I truly feel like one of the kids. It was a day full of doing absolutely nothing and cleaning the classroom. The kids were great and we even got to watch some of the World Cup (which they are all obsessed with). I got various cards and gifts but the best part of the whole day was all the hugs and "I don't want to leave you Mrs. Hedges". Each year I think, "This was the best class and there will never be another like it" but each year the students find away into my heart (especially the ones that are a bit more challenging). Being a teacher is by the far the most rewarding thing I have ever done. I love seeing my students progress throughout the year and grow into confident, motivated students. It is so refreshing to be around such innocence where cooties still exist and farting noises are the most hilarious thing on earth. As much as I will miss my students I am thankful for the time to spend with my little man (and big one too). I have already started planning all the fun things to do and couldn't be happier that summer is finally here!
